Join us for a relaxing, restorative and nurturing weekend in the beautiful Worcestershire countryside.
We like to keep things simple on our retreats with a blend of feel-good movement classes, nourishing food, massage, walks and plenty of time to rest. It’s all about taking time out for yourself to drop into a deeper place of being and connection.
Life is so busy and demands so much of us that this retreat is an invitation to slow down and enjoy time to rest, restore and deepen your connection with yourself.
The day includes two beautiful 90 minute movement classes. These will all be a bespoke blend of Pilates, Yoga, Somatics and Restorative Movement that will help you to reconnect with your body and breath, ease tension and free up space in your body, mind and heart.
We are surrounded by beautiful countryside all around us to enjoy during short or long walks on your own or in company. Walking provides the time to reflect and gain new perspective whilst bathing in Vitamin Nature, and we all know how great we feel after time outdoors in the fresh air! A healthy snack and a hot cup of tea awaits you back home on your return.
There will be a choice of massage treatments available throughout the weekend and plenty of time to relax and simply be – a rare treat in itself. You may want to curl up on the sofa or in bed with a cup or tea and a book, catch up with a friend or have a sleep. The time is yours to enjoy it exactly as you wish.
You will benefit from five classes during the weekend, each with a carefully selected theme, depending on the season, time of day and most importantly you and your fellow retreaters – how you are feeling and what would best serve you physically, emotionally and mentally – to relax, to restore and to feel great.
Drawing on a vast tool kit of movement modalities and breath work experience gathered over a 20 year teaching career, Ali skilfully weaves together bespoke classes that support you physically and mentally and help connect you more deeply to yourself.
Generally, the morning class will be more dynamic, incorporating joint mobilisation and plenty of spacious, flowing breath-initiated movements which will open you up and start your day in the best possible way. Whilst the evening class will be more restorative and grounding, focusing on finding freedom and ease in the breath and specific areas like the shoulders, back and hips. You will feel super relaxed and floaty as you enter into the evening.
These classes will be mindfully balanced to support your whole being and be accessible to everybody involved. We will use props like stretchy bands, balls, blocks and blankets to offer support to the limbs during dynamic poses, for self massage and to incorporate an element of play and fun into the practice too.
Claire is our food alchemist for the weekend and promises to delight you with her delicious and nourishing vegetarian/vegan meals. Claire is a passionate and creative chef and has a special talent for producing yummy treats that are actually really healthy too!
Everything will be lovingly prepared on site for you to enjoy food bursting with colour and flavour and, where possible, our ingredients will be locally sourced and of course in season. Claire will be happy to share her tips and tricks with you during the weekend and will leave you feeling inspired to experiment and try new things in the kitchen when you get home!
A stunning mid century modern bungalow will be our home for the weekend. It is a heart-filled home with spacious common areas including a lovely garden. The private outdoor pool (heated May – Sept) will be perfect for lounging around and cooling off during the Summer 2020 retreat, or for an uplifting and invigorating morning swim in the Winter and Spring!
Comfortable furnishings make for a cosy and welcoming space with areas for finding peace and quiet and areas to convene comfortably in groups. The magical views outside can even be enjoyed on rainy days and allow for even greater cosiness indoors – wrap up in a blanket and bathe in the view and relaxed atmosphere.
This beautiful house has five bedrooms which can be arranged with twin or double beds. All bedrooms are homely, warm and tastefully decorated making you feel completely at ease. There are two large bedrooms with en-suites, and three double bedrooms with shared shower rooms.
Whilst you will be invited to share your room with a fellow retreater, friend or loved one, provision can be made for single occupancy at an additional cost. Please see below.
