About me

Hi, I’m Ali

I teach movement with purpose, creating a safe and nurturing space which allows you to unplug from the busyness of life and reconnect with your wondrous self. I invite you to breathe, relax and enjoy being back in relationship with your body and breath. The power we have to change and heal our body is immense – all we need to do is have the willingness to begin and then be consistent in our efforts to feel and see the results. Let me guide you along that path. 

I really enjoy educating my students about their bodies. I think it is important to understand how the body works and what we are looking to affect with any given exercise or movement discipline. Also, how this has a direct correlation to our own lives and makes us better movers, more comfortable in our bodies and therefore, more confident. This is very empowering as it puts the responsibilty for a healthy, strong, balanced, flexible and pain free body firmly back into your own hands. I always try to bring what is most relevant and powerful to my classes and privates in a fun and lighthearted way.

You can see me privately if you would like to learn Pilates, Yoga or Somatics in a more personal setting. Maybe you have an injury or specific need and feel more comfortable to address it with me one to one. I reserve Thursdays for home visits. The rest of the week you can see me at The Osteopathy & Pilates Studio.


Dear Ali, thanks for a wonderful retreat. I was full of thankfulness when I left “The Breathing Space” in Dartmoor. I loved the Somatic Yoga. It was so gentle and yet I could feel how much good it did me and my body. My aches and pains that I arrived with peeled away and I felt so free and spacious at the end of the weekend.
